According to Yale's website, one must apply to the school of architecture during the first semester of one's junior year. If I am accepted to Yale and plan on majoring in architecture, is there any chance that I will not be accepted into the major? I'd rather not attend a school for two years and then not be able to take my major. Can any current students/knowledgeable non-students enlighten me on this situation?

Absolutely there's a chance that you won't be accepted. That's why there is a vetting process come Junior year. That being said, if accepted into Yale College, before you decide to matriculate I'd recommend you be in close communication (even have a portfolio review) with the arch dept.

Of course, the reason people are rejected is because their work or potential isn't up to their standards. Hope this helps. Good luck to you
