Chance: BU Trustee, BC Presidential, Harvard

Hey y'all, can you chance me for HYS, Ivies, MIT, Caltech, and then BU and BC's full ride programs?

Here are my stats:

4.0 GPA unweighted, 4.33 weighted.
I am taking the hardest courseload possible, which is only 7 APs total throughout my highschool career at the top private school in my area.
I would be valedectorian if I did not take band, but I am ranked 2nd or 3rd right now.
36 on ACT.
Subject tests: 800 math II, 720 US history, 670 Lit (I am taking AP lit this coming year, so I plan to retake this test as well as take the Chem subject test).

Officer in NHS, band, Rho Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta.
Chairman of huge projects, raising $5k, $15k, and $25k each, earning awards in the top 3 positions in each category in Key Club International.
Traveled to Haiti on a mission trip relating to my $15k project, and one of the main figures in helping to establish 1st ever school mission trip, although I wasnt able to attend

Senior Schedule:

AP Chem
AP Gov
AP Span
Theology (required)
Music Theory H (no AP offered)
Advanced Band H

I am overloading considerably , which is very rare at my school. About one person does this every other year.

I'm not sure what I want to major in, but I really love the liberal arts experience. Prob will end up engineering, math, pre-med, or just a BA

If you guys could give me an estimate, thatd be great. Thanks again!

Oh yeah I have over 500 legit community service hours (social justice is one of my passions along with learning). I'm applying to like 10 other schools, but those above, especially Harvard are the biggies.

Thanks guys

Help please! :)

You've got a much better shot at those schools than most applicants. That's all I can say, though, since applying to Ivies is like playing Russian Roulette.

Ha yeah... Do you guys think the key club thing compares to something like siemens? i had never heard of it until this year, so I am mostly wondering if my ECs are enough to get in. Bump...

Depends, the key club is "top" in terms of what?

As in we get alot of the service awards at the International convention. We usually dont win club of the year because we dont do alot of the paperwork and do not really try to fulfill the requirements by attending random meetings, doing service on random days of the year, etc. But we routinely win service hour awards and quality of service projects and service in general projects, if that makes sense... Does it? lol

Bumpity bump

Goose BUMP

Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Caltech - Reaches (like everyone else)
Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, UPenn- low reaches

Your Ec's seem above average (can't be compared to RSI, SSP, Siemens though), but your mexican heritage can help you. Make sure you have good recs and a sick essay. Other than that, you can't really do much but wait and see.

the average acceptance rate at these Univs is like 5-8%, but lets say for arguments sake that you have a 15% chance of getting in.
that means you have a 85% chance of rejection. Since college decisions are indepedent .85^11 is the chance that you will be rejected by all of these schools. This means you have a 17% chance of being rejected by all the school. One the positive side you have a 83% chance of getting into one of these schools. Thats great. Good luck and if u don't mind, chance me and my cousin

me: Low gpa w/ high sat - what are my chances pleaseee???

cuz: Chance me and u'll be happier - I put a lot of work into this, so pleaseeee

you are a very competitive applicant. apply to them all and you'll get into some - but its really tough to tell. but bu and bc should be no problem (though i cant say i know about these full ride programs)

Thanks guys. I really hope I get into these. Im kinda bummed that I didn't know about siemens and RSI beforehand, but I am way more passionate about what I have done.

Anybody else? Please?

In my opinion, you will get into at least one of the top 4 schools (Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford). The way I see it, you are easily qualified enough to get into any university. As for Caltech and MIT, I really don't know enough about their admissions processes to give a definitive answer, although I think you have a great shot at those schools as well.

Thanks. I really hope I get into Harvard. I loved it there, and I think I'd fit in pretty nicely, but we'll see... Could I get more opinions? I've gotten like only 4 so far

I think you can definitely get into all the schools you apply to including Harvard and the full tuition's at BC and BU.

I guess it mostly depends on the essay, doesnt it?

good chances. apply and see.

Alright thanks fellowccdude. I'm really anxious about this whole thing. Like I wanna finish this during the summer, but I can't...

please chance me bump bump. Im more concerned about Harvard, MIT, and BU more than anything else bc I love Boston

This is kinda like having a conversation with my self... bump!
