Male Class of 2013
Hello, I recently just applied to UC Santa Cruz, UC Merced, CSU San Jose, CSU San Francisco, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, and CSU Sacramento (Residential School).

College Weighted: 3.54
EC: Link Crew, Key Club, and Four year Varsity Baseball
Sat: First time- 1510, Second time-1450

I'm planning on majoring in business (Management Information System) and was hoping to go to a school away from home (Elk Grove/Sacramento). I have been doubting myself recently and I was just hoping for some reassurance if I will be admitted in to these schools. I struggled during my sophomore year and obtained three D's in A-G courses. However I made those up during my Junior year and am currently retaking my last remedial course this term. Any response or advice would be helpful =)

You look good for all the CSUs. They have a simple admissions process where you just have to meet a certain rubric for admission.

Your SATs are low, but if your unweighed GPA is high, UCM will be a match and UCSC a reach.

Thank you for the responses,

Pretty much all the CSU Schools are impacted now, so does that affect further admission?

Wait what you mean they are impacted?

Impact as in, When more applications to a specific major are received from, than can be accommodated by the campus. Basically when demand exceeds supply

Oh damn it. I better submit my application ASAP then.

It has nothing to do with when you send in the apps. Rather, the more qualified will be selected. That said, impaction for the CSUs are not too serious.

But I’m applying to Cal Poly SLO the most competitive CSU.

Oh great, I was starting to get concerned about the impaction of CSU Campuses.

-Thank you for all the reassuring information
