Chance for Dartmouth ED or Brown ED - Will Chance Back!

Sorry, I don’t think you have too much hope at Dartmouth or Brown even ed. Your ECs seem pretty stellar, but your test scores are definitely a bit low. As far as JHU goes, my sister attends their now and actually had pretty similar stats to yours so I guess that would be one place to apply even though it’s still a tossup. With georgetown and u chicago, I think that they are low reaches. Hope I helped!

that’s a weird GPA system…
you may have a chance at brown ED. So you should try that

you should get your test scores up a bit, but once you do you’ll have a pretty good shot at these schools, especially because of your published research. just retake the SAT or ACT and aim for 2200+ or 32+ and you’ll be in the mix.

You might want to retake your SAT and improve on that. You may have a chance at Brown. In my opinion your chances would be lower at Dartmouth. Above all though, the Ivies are really unpredictable and not much can truly guarantee you a spot.

I’m not too sure about many of the other schools, but you will definitely get in at Holy Cross and Lehigh, I feel.

I think you should ED at Brown, only because you did the summer program, and that might slightly influence their decision. JHU: high match, Lafayette: not sure, WUSTL: not sure, Holy Cross: not sure, Lehigh: not sure, UChicago: match, Georgetown: reach/maybe a match

I think you can portray yourself as very dedicated to a college through your essays, especially with the outstanding EC’s you have written gere

Brown ED - High reach
Dartmouth ED - High reach
WUSTL - Match
Wake Forest - Match
JHU - Low reach
Cornell - Low reach
Holy Cross - Match
Duke - Mid reach
UChicago - High match
U of Rochester - Low match
Lehigh - Can’t say.
Lafayette - Can’t say.

I think your classes/grades are fine due to what you have said about your school. Your scores are slightly subpar for the Ivies, but that cancer treatment EC is pretty unique and demonstrates a focus. I would be sure to apply as a major related to your studies  also, make sure you isolate the most important things in your EC’s, as they seem a bit scattered.

Thanks for chancing me, by the way!

You will definitely get into Holy Cross, no doubt.
They would love you!

Good luck! :)

I think you should work on improving some of those scores, the SATs, SAT IIs, and ACTs in particular. You’re in the ballpark though so no pressure. You definitely have a shot with a small improvement in those scores.

What do you hope to major in? What’s your academic passion? Make sure you have one to convey throughout your application (great job w/ the ice-skating & dance EC’s…I would devote an essay to it). Retake the SAT, score 2250+ and I think you have a great chance! :)

chance me?
