Chance for EA

Applied Dual Unit for Engineering and Cello Performance, but went EA for Engineering on that half of my application

GPA: 3.2 (obviously low)
SAT: 2150 (750 math)
ACT: 32 (33 Math, 32 Science)
SAT 2 Math Level 2: 770

Have completed 5 total aps so far, en route to finishing 4 more my Senior Year (AP Calc, Apm Phyiscs, Lit, Gov, Comp Sci, Lang, US History, Music Theory)

Extracurriculars: Obviously Cello since I'm applying half as a performance major. Been playing 12 years.

Honors:
Tri-M Music Honors
All Eastern Orchestra
All State Orchestra (Cello and Bass)
All County Orchestra 5 years
LISFA 5 years

Academic Honors:
AP Scholar with honor

Other extracurriculars: Politics club, robotics club, lifeguard, teach cello and bass to kids from my school.

Other Background info:
Swiss and American citizen, partially Latino (Cuba)

Good essays. I visited the school and talked about about it a crap load in my essays. Definitely have good rec's from my teachers.

My grades were pretty bad in 11th grade, but they progressively went up each quarter and my first quarter grades (which I sent) are significantly better (3.5). Upward trajectory?

I'm 99% sure I'm in this college for the music half, but I'm worried about the engineering half obviously because of my low GPA. What are my chances? How does dual unit work? Potential Scenarios? The lady said that I could end up only being in for music but I could still take all the engineering classes and simply just reapply into engineering my second year.

GPA makes you a significant reach for CoE. Your test scores indicate that your school/schedule may have been quite rigorous, so that could be the deciding factor. Also, if you have an upward trend in your grades, this helps as well.

You GPA isn’t very good.

Honestly, it would depend on your school now more than anything. If you attend a hard school known for rigor, then match/high match. Otherwise, reach.
