I will be applying to Harvard early this year (top choice). Aside from that, I'm looking to apply to:
Cal Tech
MIT
UC Berkeley
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
Columbia
Williams
WashU
CMU

Will chance back!

Your chancness at these schools are as good as anyone else’s. Your stats are superb (nice job on the perfect ACT), you hold a number of leadership positions, and your low income is a hook.

-Cal Tech, MIT, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Harvard: out of these 7 schools, you will likely get into 4 or 5.

“You look like every other applicant of HYPS. No distinction whatsoever.”

Don’t let those phrases discourage you. You have stats people like me would die for. I envy your 36 compared to my 30! Haha, but yeah, awesome leadership, awesome exposure to science, great community service!

I’m too of a nub to qualify for chancing people, so sorry if I’m irrelevant.

Bumping!

Bumppp

Yes, you have a very strong chance of getting into several of your schools, Stanford and Harvard are always iffy, but your stats are fantastic, especially the extracurriculars. If you want to got CalTech I recommend taking the regular SAT as well, you could easily get a 2300.

Is taking the regular SAT worth it despite my ACT score? I’ve gotten a 2260 already not sure if I should even mention that in my app.

@nambugoldstone @kei04086 what were your essays about for harvard? mine was about what it feels like to break your back as an elite gymnast.

WOW! Great resume, do not mention your SAT. CMU, Washington, Williams are all matches. You should get into 4 of the other 8.
chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1621493-sophomore-on-the-right-track.html#latest</a></p>

@harvard456 I’m a junior haha I haven’t actually applied yet

@Aquas98 chanced :)

bumpp

Well as a junior I’m very new to the whole college process, but I would say that with the perfect subject tests and perfect act you have as good a chance as everyone else. I would say that WashU and Williams might actually be matches as opposed to reaches, but yeah, like others have said, you have as good a chance as anyone else at getting into the others… the sleeping bag thing is FANTASTIC, exactly what colleges like to see… sorry I can’t be more helpful, you probably know more about your chances than I do.

That being said, could you chance me? I’d really appreciate feedback on what I can do to improve, what my resume is lacking, etc.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1621955-chances-for-dartmouth-cornell-ucla-uva-and-notre-dame-i-will-chance-back-for-sure.html#latest</a></p>

@kei04086 The only reason I say to submit your SAT is that CalTech generally prefers the SAT and their average SAT acceptance score is around 2300.

@nambugoldstone ah i see. i don’t think i will be retaking the SAT though especially since CalTech isn’t necessarily my first choice and that little bump probably won’t be too necessary considering i’m in state

@soccerlover17 chanced, good luck (:

Bump

bumpp

Bump

You have good chances at those schools because your ACT is higher than the 75th percentile. You will not get into all of them due to their selective nature. Your a well rounded candidate and should get into around 4 of those schools.
