You only have 1 AP?

yea…
i cudnt handle more working like every night from 5-11.

Honestly, I want to say your chances are high just because we have similar stats. But, I think your extracurriculars are amazing. Really, I mean it. Just pull it together in your essays and I would be surprised (yes…I said surprised) if you did not get at least into one HYP. One suggestion I would make is to make your list of extracurriculars more concise. You are applying for a bio-related major but your extracurriculars are business-oriented. From my observations, schools like a focused applicant so try to present yourself as such.

Also, I know one of the founders of the Intelligent Teenager. Small world lol.

Here’s my chance thread:

Wow haha. me and cepeda (gabe) if u kno him were the first two in seventh grade
u.may kno him or amitoj? lol small world indeed.

Average matches for ivys

Wow you are truly a one of a kind applicant. I thought I had pretty decent ECs but I think your ECs and story blow mine out of the water. I think you’ll have a really good shot at HYPM and will almost definitely get into at least one.

I looked up your business (Luxser) and you seem to have a decent gig, but don’t have any clients or testimonials. That might hurt you just a little if you haven’t actually done anything with the business, but besides that great chances !

Oh snap! haha I should probably make sure that gets updated. We completely forgot to update that page. Thanks so much. Good call.

I honestly believe you’re a shoe-in to any of those schools, besides Harvard and Yale simply because one never knows with those two. If you apply to Brown ED, I really think you’ll get in. I’d even call Princeton a high match because you’re from NJ (as am I, actually). Best of luck to you! If you could chance me, that would be great.

Just out of curiosity, how did you get people to speak at your STEM club?

Btw, I think you have a great chance at any/most of those schools.

thanks @toxiclance and everybody else. The advisor to my club is really good friends with the wharton guy so i wrote up an email proposal for him and he loved it, so he came in. The bme guy i met during my research.

Impressive! I wish I had your stats. I believe you could be accepted to any school (Of course, ivies are always reach schools so you never know)… Please chance me!!!

Wow, that’s really impressive given your circumstances as well. I am certain you will get into one (probably two or more) of HPYM. As people have said before, make sure to find some focus in your EC’s they impressive in both quantity and quality and therefore need to some crafting to be presented in the best light, but of course you will do this fantastically. There is hardly anyone more impressive than you are on paper.

I think you are a shoo-in Brown ED, barring some weird Tufts syndrome crap. I am shooting for Brown (possibly ED) as well, and am probably more in need of chancing lol.

Tell me what you think? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1527124-chance-brown-elsewheres.html

haha okay guys thanks. Do you have any advice on how to focus them?

I am really surprised you do not have either Stanford or Caltech on your list…are you that provincial to only focus on the northeast corridor…especially with your interest in engineering and entrepreneurship/business…

…I would eliminate some of the northeast schools that you really would NOT attend even if accepted and add Stanford and Caltech…

…looking at your background…you would make a great FIT at Stanford or Caltech…

Oh hey look, I’m pretty sure I know you…

Congrats, you are one of the lucky few. You are getting into one of HYP guaranteed. It’s always a crapshoot and you might get rejected from one or two, but at least one of them is going to take you. Don’t freaking ED Brown unless you know for an absolute fact you’d go there because honestly you could do better. EA Princeton if you actually attended PHS and regular everywhere else. Princeton absolutely loves local kids and your application should be stellar, there are worse schools to have as a safety.

When you do apply, try not to spread yourself too thin and try to find specific things to focus your application on. Besides that, don’t shank anyone in the next few months and you’re going to be just fine.

haha thanks for the tips. Also, my parents limited me to the northeast. Stanford was my dream for a while until they gave me a reality check geographically. But yeah, Ill try not to shank anybody.

That’s unfortunate…it’s like telling the smartest kids in California/West Coast to only apply to Stanford/Caltech/Berkeley and not to any school east of the Mississippi…like HYPMCC…

…makes absolutely NO SENSE!

…after all, we are in a GLOBAL WORLD…and GLOBAL COMPETITION…with students applying from India, China, Korea, Germany, Great Britain, etc…who are willing to travel around the world to attend one of our top schools…

I know. I was crushed, trust me.
