I'm looking to see what my chances are for Ivy league schools. Right now I'm a freshman in high school w/ a 97.5 unweighted GPA.
My 8th grade SATS were a 1920. (im confident they went up this year, but idk the results yt)
My ECs are very strong (marching band, tennis, my garage band, student council, SADD, etc, etc,)
by my senior year I will be taking
AP Spanish V (weight)
AP Physics (weight)
AP Calculus (weight)
AP English IV (weight)
German II
AP Gov. (weight)
Band

anferney, do yourself a favor and avoid this sight for another two years. Enjoy high school, relish the moments/relationships/opportunities. Do EC's that you love. Don't do them to fill out your college apps. You will clearly be fine with college applications and Ivies if you stay the course. Don't let high school pass you by Don't start thinking about tomorrow. It will only give you heartache, nervousness.

Wow, you got a 1920 on the SAT as an 8th grader and you've already planned your senior schedule. Just keep going and don't forget to have fun on the way. You have an amazing future ahead of you.

I agree with some of what jrm90 says. He sounds kind of worried that you'll make the same mistakes he made.

Don't listen to everything we say. (including me)

Why are you telling him to do that? This is a very valuable website that in many cases would decrease a person's stress with college.

Too late, lol. That's a BS statement anyways.

butter ball, that is exactly it. Only until junior year did I stop and look around at whats in front of me, and stop thinking ahead. I became much happier.

This sight can decrease a person's stress with college. However, seeing people with 4.0s(UW) and 2370 who have founded a national organization, have amazing recs, and superb essays is depressing, especially when they are considered reaches at certain schools that I am applying to.

And yea, I pulled that "don't start...tomorrow" statement out of you know where.
