<p>OP’s brother has no chance of getting into MIT or Caltech with a 3.5 UW GPA unless his school says that comes with a top 10 (not top 10%)ranking. Princeton review says the average score for MIT last year was 2280 and 2240 or 2260 for Caltech.</p>
<p>As an Indian American male the chances are almost non-existent at Harvard or Stanford. All the kids I know who have gotten in have perfect or near perfect stats which is pretty much the starting point for an Asian as an ORM.</p>
