You need a much higher Act for out of state. Aim for 33/34 for Michigan. Do ec’s for 3-4 years Consistency is key and it doesn’t have to be all of them. Pick a few interests. Peer tutoring is a great thing to have

As stated above, get your ACT as high as possible if you want to have a shot at Michigan. Depending on your intended major, you will need to aim higher for OSU as well. The 25th - 75th percentile for engineering last cycle was 29-33.

I also agree to try to have a few ECs that you do all four years.
