OOS son got into Engineering today…woo hoo!
He is a good student (SAT 1570, ACT 35, 4 out of 450). All APs and honors. Good ECs, etc.
Any chance for scholarship?
Also…when do you hear about Honors Program? Acceptance letter did not mention it.

The decisions for the honors programs are still being released. If there is a structure to how they are released, I do not know it. Your best bet is to have your son check his mystatus honors tab and/or wait to hear something through snail mail.
Regarding scholarships, though, there is no doubt that he is eligible to receive many scholarships. However, remind him to apply to scholarships outside of the UT scholarship application, as there are so many great opportunities and programs that aren’t included in the UT scholarship application.

@PADAD123 This might give you more information. My son has already heard that he was accepted into Engineering Honors. I’ve read that there are still more acceptances to come though.
