chance for Stanford and Yale

I'm applying to stanford and Yale, my sat score was 1640 which is horrible but in taking the ACT soon and a couple SAT II, I'm also taking 2 APs this year (junior), and 4 next year and my ecs include fbla, student council, 200+ hours of community service, and I do indoor and outdoor track. my GPA at the end of 10th grade was a 3.78 (unweighted) and I'm getting mostly b's this year but my final averages will probably be low a's (a few a+'s) because I gonna try extremely hard now that I know which colleges I want to go to and what the expect. What are my chances of getting accepted if I get my SAT scores up to a 2100 or the equivalent that ACT score and raise my GPA to a 3.9?

Both are high reaches, even with those improvements

Of course try your best and you may have a chance, but nothing is guaranteed.

Reaches. Get those schools out of your head unless you have an extreme hook. Think of some other schools to stop yourself from going mad

You’ll have a shot, but they’ll definitely be reaches. Of course, they are for everyone, so go ahead and apply since you never know what’ll happen. Just be sure to have 1 or 2 safety schools and 1 or 2 schools whose admission stats match yours.

They’re both reaches right now with your SAT. If you do get it up to 2300+, or ACT’s to 35+, and take a load of AP courses next year, your chances will improve slightly. Right now, you look like an average high reach candidate.
