Ah okay. And that’ll probably go into my essays.

By the way, I’m from NY so out of state… How much will this hurt me? (Considering the fact that I’ll need financial aid :/)

If you’re a US citizen or permanent resident, then Stanford is need blind for your admissions, so applying for aid doesn’t matter.

Being out of state shouldn’t really hurt you as much as it would in other public universities, so don’t worry. You have a good chance. Just take the advice people have given you on this thread and you’ll definitely have a shot. :)

Oh okay good to hear that. I also just read that Stanford is need-blind & full-need. Does the latter apply to all US applicants applying for financial aid?

In addition, I know campus visits are strongly recommended but considering the school’s in California and I’m in NY, I see that a bit difficult. Will this hurt me?

No. Stanford explicitly states that demonstrated interest is not even considered.

Okay that’s good to hear. By the way I should be doing another internship soon designing a site. Anyone else wants to chance me?

Stanford wants people who believe in themselves!!!
So why should you ask others? You should simply go for it if you think you are the right person for Stanford.Write a great essay where you explain who you are and why you
want to go to Stanford.Do not listen to anybody but yourself. Be authentic and don’t overload them with all kinds of things you did. Most of the kids have long lists of what the have achieved but only a very small amount of them can really explain who they are and why Stanford. Those are the ones who are going to be admitted.
Good Luck!!
