Chance for Stanford EA?

I’m currently a Junior Asian in Texas trying to decide whether to apply early to Stanford or wait it out for regular admissions.

GPA: Currently 4.0 unweighted, 4.35-4.4 weighted (5.0 scale AP=5, Honors=4.5) would be 4.45 without freshman year.

AP Test Scores: 5 AP World History, 5 AP Human Geography. Will be taking 3 more this year and 7 more next year.

Rank: 6th-8th out of 1300 at a very competitive public school.

Questions:

What are my chances applying EA to Stanford?

Should I wait to have 7 more AP/IBs show up on my transcript, a few more leadership positions ( seniority rule for many officer positions ), and possibly a chance at state orchestra to bolster my application or apply early and risk denial?

I know theres no actual quota by highschools but at least 3 other juniors (with better grades and extracurriculars) are applying EA to Stanford so would that hurt my chances in any way?

a) you're a junior... don't sweat it
b) standford is non-binding... go right ahead.

Stanford is non binding so it doesn't really matter if you apply early or not.

Just a warning, Stanford is extremely trendy and they reject a lot of good people...extremely talented and qualified.

If you're going to spend time filling out applications, make sure you want to go to Stanford for what's at Stanford and not just the name.

If you want to continue with Bass, Stanford is NOT for you.

Check out other top-notch schools like Yale and Northwestern.

hm.. it would help if you had a definite niche

I was hoping bass playing could be my hook. After all, how many bass players apply to Stanford especially considering the dumb bass player stereotype.

Believe it or not, a lot of smart people play bass. I'm sure there are plenty of bass players who apply to Stanford.

stanford prefers people that are super good in one thing rather than well-rounded people

u should stress ur bass playing abilities and i think you'll have a good chance
