I don't want this to come off as a shallow list as only applying for the top 4 LACs and an Ivy league school but I'm not sure at all if I want to transfer. I like a lot of things about Cornell but I also feel these colleges would bring things down to size and give me the opportunity to be a DIII athlete[at the LACs]. Both of these things I've realized after one semester are important to me. I also love being in classes where nearly everyone is a top caliber student so that's the reason I'm targeting top schools that will give me that level while at the same time being significantly smaller.

Yeah same here, I’m not sure whether I want to transfer out of Cornell. I’m not considering transfer because of size though. I’m considering Stanford and Columbia… should I try transferring for better academic department?
