Hi, I'm from india. I have my CR+Math equal to 1320 where math is 760 and cr is 560. My overall score is 1880. I have good marks in grade 11 and 12 half yearlies. 11th is 86% and 12th hy is 87%. I'm applying for Biomedical Engineering. I have great extra curriculars:

Vice President Students Council of my school
Awarded Best Student of the batch last year
National level Cricket Player been captain of the state team
Model United Nations where won best delegates and been a part of Executive Board of international MUNs twice
Won international 1st prizes at essay writing competitions
Worked with few of the best doctors as internships
Awarded Scholarship worth 5000 dollars where I stood 6th in India and 1st in my state
French language DELF exam cleared with distinction

I have been placed in top 1% by my counselor in a class of 1010 students. I have also got great recommendations and a winning essay.

that we cannot know, OP. we haven’t read your essay or recs. stats are real important at Pitt, and your GPA isn’t killer. email your admissions officer and ask for an estimate.

The high Math SAT will definitely help- the GPA isn’t the greatest, but being an international student I have a feeling they will let it slide more (especially since the standardized test score is there).

What kind of classes have you been taking? Are they more heavily math/science focused? Do you do better in those classes? Are they more advanced than a typical curriculum? All of those things will help your application. I would also recommend sending in 2-3 LoRs (especially from math/science teaches) and an essay about something personal/one of your activities

Unfortunately it’s much harder for anyone here to judge how an international applicant may do. I can’t remember what the rules for merit aid are, but I want to say that very few, if any, international students receive aid to go to Pitt.

Our gpa system is different. I’m in the nations best school and our classes are very difficult. For clearing their doubts I have also sent my course content which shows the difficulty of my syllabus. My percentage is one of the highest in my school. That’s why I’m in the top 1% of my class of 1010 students.
