Chance for Vassar ED I and other schools please! Will return the favor :)

Indian Male from Long Island, NY

GPA- 96 or 97 weighted, 95ish unweighted (my school does not do it on a 4 point scale)
Upward trend every year-freshman= 93, sophomore= 95, junior= 99 W

Class Rigor- For my freshman year and half of my sophomore year, I was in Pennsylvania and took Gifted classes(under honors but higher than regular, and unweighted), however these show up as regular level classes on my transcript from my current school. My junior year I took 2 college and 2 honors classes. This year I'm taking 4 AP classes and 1 college, and do not have any free periods(the same for junior year)

Class Rank- Exact unknown right now, almost positive top 10%, probably around top 6%, 400 students total

SAT(took only once, March)
Composite- 2060
CR- 640
Math- 690
Writing- 730

ACT- Took in September, awaiting results, most likely 30-31ish

SAT II's- Will take Math I and Chemistry in November

*Annual Literature Competition at temple (10,11)- first prize 10th, third prize 11th
*Counselor at Summer camp for Sikh Youth (11)
*National Honors Society (11,12)- only for juniors and seniors

Awards-
*Principal's List every quarter throughout high school
A few small time awards here and there, nothing big

Common App Essay- my experience being a Sikh and being a religious and visual minority(I have a turban and beard) in the US and how it has affected who I am as a person

Intended Major- Astronomy(i've been interested in this for a long time, unfortunately I don't have the EC's to show it, so should I apply undecided?)
Also, what schools with good astronomy programs would be a good fit for me? I would like to stay in the Northeast or Mid-atlantic regions

your SAT scores are not as high as they could be for the ivy league schools, but for the others they should be fine. As for your EC’s, they’re fantastic and they are definitely good and will turn some heads. You have a good chance, especially being ED with Vassar. Your essays are going to be crucial to seal the deal, as will recs. I wish you the best of luck!

Stonybrook- in (safety)
Bu- low match
Cornell- low reach due to scores and easiness of course load (hopefully colleges wont think that you took the easy way out
Penn harvard and Columbia I don’t think you have a big shot but hey you have nothing to lose by applying! Continue about others sorry

Vassar ED I - reach even with ED, good chance to get in tho
Cornell - reach
BU - in
Columbia - reach
Harvard - hmm…
Haverford - probably yes
JHU - no
SUNY Stony Brook - safety
Swarthmore - probably no
UPenn - no
