<p>I happen to know of an Asian Senior at my school in our state with similar test scores and maybe a slightly higher GPA, and about the same involvement in quality EC’s. He got into MIT (from a public school). Thinking your only option is community college is silly. You scored higher than like 95% of the nation on the SAT! IMO you’re a lock for every college on your list except for UChicago and the Ivies. And even then you have a resonable chance at getting into all of those (a bit slimmer for Harvard and MIT of course, simply because they’re the cream of the crop).</p>

<p>Your test scores and extracurriculars are very strong, but your GPA is weak, especially for junior year. Depending on your essays, you might have a decent shot at some of those places, but your GPA is really bringing you down. You have a very good chance at any state schools you apply to, however, because of your high test scores. A 2310/1560 puts you above 99.5% of all test takers.</p>

<p>I think that you should be fine for most of the colleges on you list other than MIT and Yale ect.</p>

<p>I’d say you are definitely set for boston u, BC, rpi, and illinois</p>

<p>You’re probably in at BC, BU, RPI, and U of I. Good shot at CM, JH, and Cooper Union. The rest are reaches but if you have awesome essays (maybe explain your relatively low gpa?) and letters of rec you have a decent chance. Honestly, being asian probably won’t help you, though. But don’t worry- you’ll definitely get into college! Your parents can chill out a little.
