I’m just comparing you to myself as someone who is going to UCLA. My academics were all around higher, but at the same time your ECs look stronger than mine. Since I believe most of my academic stats were above average if I’m remembering right, I’d say you’re quite on track if you nail the essay.

like Music, My GPA was slightly higher than yours, however, your sat score beats mine. You also have far more ecs than I did. I’d say you’ve got a good chance, just do that essay! lol

It’s got lovely weather. But I’m from an area that’s wide open country so it’s a bit of a change. The people are nice. So far my classes have no been overwhelming although I do have one professor who is most unhelpful (he obviously knows his stuff, he’s just bad at communicating that to us, ironically he’s also my only professor without an accent). Joined club sports and some groups and things are going pretty great. Gotta admit though, I freaking hate this hill.

When I applied I had higher UW GPA(4.0), similar W GPA(~4.2), higher SAT (2100+) and SAT2 scores, but I have only 5 APs in total (got 5 on all of them, self-studied 2 of them) and no honors at all. Also I have much weaker ECs (like, playing piano and stuff. Haven’t really joined a club. Much fewer volunteering hrs too). So I think you have a chance, but it’s probably 50/50. You might want to retake SAT in November if possible. Good luck!

Looks like a low reach for you like someone else said. GPA kind of low.

Can you possibly retake your SAT and get ~2100? That would really help you the most right now. Everything you have so far is good and the only thing that you can change is your SAT and that would be a great help to you. Good luck!

You have negative chance of getting in. Since your chance is negative, you must punch your teacher in the face and get kicked out of school so that way you can get a positive chance. Because your chance right now was already negative, you getting expelled from your school will change it to a positive chance. From there you can work your way up to getting a good chance at ucla. But remember, you must continue to do stupid things to increase this chance or else the positive chance will decrease.

Like everyone said above, GPA is low and SAT is average. Your extra curriculars are nice though. A better SAT 1 score would do a lot to compensate for your GPA, but since its not possible, I wish you luck.

work hard on your SAT1; make W 680 to satisfy entry level writing requirement, so you won’t need to take AWPE and spend around $100; improve your math scores (since you take AP Calc exam probably in your junior year, you should be able to do so)
retake SAT2 math (it is no longer required but recommended) in Dec. (review it during your thanksgiving break)

Your GPA is what it is, improve those scores to make you have better chances to any schools. Also, keep in mind, UCLA requires your senior unweighted GPA 3.0. Good luck.
