Chance Me! (Andover, Exeter)

Currently a freshman, applying for 10th grade.
White female
I go to an all-girls private school, it's known for being ridiculously challenging (It doesn't rank us, but I've taken the most rigorous courses they'll let me)

GSA
Yearbook

Took a JHU CTY course in Astronomy over the summer

I think my essay went well -- I wrote about my experiences in Haiti when I volunteered there last spring and sustainable solutions regarding this

Interviews seemed to go excellently.

I have various awards from science competitions and PAJCL latin convention and my school, gold medal and a purple ribbon for the years I've taken the NLE.

Recommendations are really excellent, I get along very well with my Math and English teachers, and my Latin teacher has/will rave(d) about me.

See, the problem is I don't stand out much. I suppose I'm decently qualified, but in comparison to others, it's not really stand out in any way.

If you don’t stand out then where does that leave the rest of us?

blueraven- agreed. You’re an excellent applicant isn’t it a bit late for chance threads?lol

yeah. but i think you’ll get in

Standing out is something I don’t think you should worry about. Not many people play squash, win science competetions, play the ukelele, be on crew, and volunteer in Haiti all at once.

I can play the ukelele but I didn’t put it on my app. Mabye I should have?

At exeter i talked to my interviewer about dan brown books…sorry i just said that ;)

lol i love how blue just realized this…yeah you should have, maybe you can send it in now or is it too late?

A lil late, I reckon  I didn’t think it was that important lol

75% chance of admission

So did I candidate. It was kind of cool.
