Chance Me, Applied Early to Amherst, and applying ED2 to Vassar, RD for everything el

<p>Ok, here are my stats
I am an Indian Male from NJ</p>

<p>UW GPA:3.5 W GPA:4.2</p>

<p>School does not rank but in top 10% of HS class of 630 students, with extremely rigorous schedule, 7 AP Courses, 10 Honors Courses</p>

<p>ACT Composite:31
SAT 2's: US History:770
Literature:720
AP Scores: US History:5
Psychology:4</p>

<p>Currently Taking 5 other AP's, Statistics, European History, Comparative Politics, US Politics, and Latin V</p>

<p>Teacher Recs: Both are terrific from teachers who I've had for a couple of years.
Essays: Very good, had looked at by several teachers and other readers and all liked the concepts and writing style.</p>

<p>EC's: 1 year JV XC, and 1 Year Varsity XC
3 Years Winter Track, 1 year Varsity
3 Years Spring Track, 2 years Varsity</p>

<p>Am not being recruited by schools for XC but several coaches have told me I can compete at the college level if I get into the school,(if that helps).</p>

<p>Volunteer Work:
over 100 Volunteer Hours, split up between the American Red Cross, MS, CFF, and the Public Library</p>

<p>Involved with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides Walk-A-Thon past two years, Was team Leader of my own walk team that raised $1500 as a team and I raised $1100 of that myself, the Executive Director of the Central Jersey Chapter even wrote me a letter of recommendation to send to colleges (if that type of stuff helps).</p>

<p>If he will be admitted by Amherst, he can go to any of those colleges then.</p>

<p>wait.. wuppz NVM.. i was thinking of another college instead of amherst.. lol</p>

<p>IMO Amherst is questionable, but Vassar is a good shot for a male with good stats.</p>

<p>no for amherst, everything else is possible.</p>

<p>anyone else? I'm really hoping for a few more opinions...</p>

<p>Oh, and I have now been deferred from Amherst, so not worried about there anymore, that ship has sailed, but what do you guys think about any of the other schools on my list?</p>
