I have a 4.34 academic weighted GPA. I have a 3.68 non weighted academic GPA. ACT score of 32. SAT Math 2 subject test 800. Based on academics, considering i have average Extra curricular, what are my chances?
UC Merced: You’ll definitely get in, but I don’t know a single person who wants to go there
UC Riverside: Once again, you have a really good shot
UCSC: I can still see you getting in easily here (I had the same ACT score, 4.2 UW, 3.8W with a lot of ECs and got into the honors program unbeknownst to me lol)
UCD: It really depends on your major. If you’re looking to go into the sciences, it can be a bit more challenging. I still think you have a good shot, though.
UCI: Probably a good shot. I’d say this is a good mid-target.
UCSB: Once again, this all depends on your choice of major. I currently go to UCSB and I got in with honors and I have plenty of friends with lower stats that got in, but your choice of major can make or break you here (i.e. engineering and econ are big at UCSB, so it may be more challenging to get in depending on your competition)
UCSD: I’d say this is a high target/low-mid reach. I know people with higher stats that didn’t get in. Most of the people I know who are enrolled there had fairly high scores.
UCLA: It’s a reach, but maybe you can make a stellar essay.
UCB: This is a high reach, but I believe their average ACT score is a 32-33 last time I checked.
***No offense to anyone who goes to/really likes UC Merced, I’m just being candid by saying I don’t know anyone enrolled in that school.
of AP/IB/DE courses? UC GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Intended major? List of EC’s would be helpful.
With a competent essay and average ECs, I think you’ll get into UCM, UCR, UCSC,UCSB,UCI and UCD for most majors. The others could go either way - an outstanding essay and a hook (first gen is a biggie) could make all the difference.
Good luck
