I'm in the middle of my junior year. Do I have any chances? It may be too early to tell. I'm looking at majoring in film or journalism.

My school doesn't rank.

I really have no idea about my chances, because my stats aren't the best. If you could give me any idea, please help me out! :]

I'm also planning on/hoping to write a really stellar essay that can hopefully balance my pitiful GPA a little.

I'm looking at these colleges to apply to:
Boston U
Emerson
Sarah Lawrence
Loyola Marymount
Chapman
U of Chicago (I know, very high reach)

I'd love to get into USC, UCLA, or Cornell, but I don't have almost any chance and I doubt sheer luck will get me in.

Any suggestions or feedback would be great. Any colleges you know of that might fit my stats? I'll chance you, too!
