Work on getting your ACT higher if you can. You need a couple safety schools.

@doschicos‌ would a 30 get me into any of these schools?

Its worth a shot - many of these schools are somewhat holistic in their admissions. Let’s be honest though. All these schools are selective with admit rates in the low 20s percentile wise or lower. Brown is sub 10%, Colorado College below 17% this year I heard. No reason to think that next year won’t be even lower to all these schools. Read through the forums on each college and look at the stats of kids who were declined or waitlisted this year. It is sobering.

I don’t chance because its too much of a crap shoot. It’s great to have reaches but make sure you are developing a well rounded list that includes matches and safeties as well.

Very true… Anyone else… Thoughts?

@doschicos is absolutely right. A lot of the little things will determine if you get in or not. Based on stats alone, maybe try to bump that GPA up a little bit, and raise your ACT score to about a 32.
But as everyone knows, stats aren’t everything, and unless you’re like International Math Olympiad gold medal winner or if you have like a 1.5 GPA and 1200 SAT score, it is impossible to predict for these selective colleges.
Many people who “aren’t qualified” get in each year and many people who “are qualified” don’t.

While I believe it is possible to get in with an ACT of 30 as I got into Vassar with an ACT of 29, I really feel like if you have the chance to improve your ACT you should. This year for instance, the mean ACT for Vassar was 32 and the 25th to 75th percentile was 31-34. If cost is not a problem, give the ACT one more shot and then focus on your essays.

Currently,
Brown- reach
Vassar- low reach
Wesleyan- low reach
USC- low reach
Colorado- match

Lmao thx or (no thx?) everyone but I already got into all these schools which just goes to prove how holistic admissions are and everyone needs to chillax with scores

Do you not have better things to do with your time? I guess not.

Apparently I do if I got into top LACs and ivies. Just a little social experiment.

However @LordSwag‌ ill chance u back
