Chance me at these schools?

<p>Hey guys, this is less of a chance thread and more of an "Am I on Track" thread, but here goes. I've been looking at colleges for awhile, with many colleges entering and leaving my list, but these are the ones that frequently make it to the list or have stayed on since the beginning. I'm a rising junior, by the way.</p>

<p>My list:
- Williams College
- University of Pennsylvania
- Princeton University
- Brown University
- Northwestern University
- University of Chicago
- Trinity College
- Wesleyan University
- Connecticut College
- St. Lawrence University</p>

<p>(Will be doing either Penn ED, Williams ED, or Princeton SCEA.)</p>

<p>About Me:
Gender: Male
Race: Caucasian
State: Maine
Miscellaneous: I skipped a grade and have legacies at Penn, Williams, and UChicago.</p>

<p>Academics:
- SAT (based on practice tests): 2200 (760 CR, 660 M, 780 WR)
- GPA: 91/100 W, school does not tell us UW or the weighting system
- Class Rank: School does not rank, but around 15/120
- Coursework Rigor: Most Rigorous, with the exception of one AP sophomore year</p>

<p>Extracurriculars (place leadership in parentheses):
- Playmakers, the school's drama company
- Improv Club, the school's club for improv comedy (President/Founder)
- Youth Court, a volunteer restorative justice system for teens integrated with the school
- Private Trumpet Study, 8 years
- Private Voice Study, 1 year
- The Young Company, a local black box/improv theater company for teens
- Model UN</p>

<p>Volunteering:
- Teaching children's classes at The Theater Project, the local black box/improv theater
- Some hours at a food pantry
- Youth Court (I'm not sure where to put this - I see it as an extracurricular, but I get volunteer hours for it so I'm placing it under both categories.)</p>

<p>Awards:
- Berklee College of Music Judge's Choice Award, for chosen soloists at the Berklee Jazz Festival
- Maine Eco-Excellence Award, for "outstanding contributions to ecological preservation"</p>

<p>So, am I on track? Thanks for any and all feedback.</p>

<p>In short: yes you are on track! Don’t worry too much, you seem like an outstanding candidate for any of these schools. Your GPA seems good and your SAT’s are great, but I would still recommend taking them one more time. I’ll give you chances regardless though:</p>

<p>Williams Legacy: High match (Match ED)
Upenn Legacy: Low reach (High match ED)
Princeton: Reach
Brown: Low reach
NW: Low reach (maybe reach)
Chicago: Low reach
Trinity: Low match
Wesleyan: High match

<p>By the way what grade are you in right now and what is your intended major?</p>

<p>Williams RD/ED: low reach/match
Penn RD/ED: reach/high match
Princeton RD/SCEA: high reach/mid reach
Brown: reach
NWern: low reach
Chicago: reach, not sure how much legacy affects it…could be low reach
Trinity: safety
Wesleyan: high match
Connecticut: low match
St. Lawrence: safety</p>

<p>Good luck sir</p>

<p>Pfft… this is why “chance me” threads are useless.</p>

<p>Williams and NW as “low reach” In what universe? Do you have any idea their admit rate?</p>

<p>Penn “high match”? They still reject the vast majority of legacy applicants…</p>

<p>Ruprex: you’re on track. Congrats on your accomplishments to date. Pare down your list to the ones you really see yourself attending and enjoying. Best of luck to you.</p>

<p>You are definitely on track. Just keep up the good work!</p>

<p>UPenn Legacy - Low Reach
UChicago Legacy - Low Reach
Williams Legacy - Low Reach
Princeton - Reach
Brown - Reach
Northwestern - High match
Trinity - dunno this school
Wesleyan - dunno this school
Connecticut - dunno this school
St. Lawrence - dunno this school</p>

<p>If you are not senior yet, you should try to bring up your GPA and class rank. They are hindering you to get into Ivies. As for your SAT, the composite is good but your Math score is weak. You should try to improve your CR+M to 1500+ for Ivies while you are currently at 1420 only. If you are in Junior, you are perfectly on track, but you do need to keep working hard particularly in school.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m a junior. Thanks though.</p>
