My grades arent that great. My gpa is around a 2.8. I get A's and B's but always two C's every year in math and science. My sat score was in the 1500's so im taking them again. I have yet to take my act. I really dont want to go to community college. Im african american, in-state, and I have alot of ec's. Chance me at these schools.

VCU, george mason, odu, jmu, radford? any other suggestions to where I should apply?

Radford - Match
ODU - High Match
VCU - Low Reach
George Mason - Reach
JMU - Reach

Radford really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, people party there. However, people party at every college. I recently spent a month there for a summer program and enjoyed my stay. The campus is small and very self-contained; one can easily walk from one end to the other in 15 minutes. The variety and quality of the food at Dalton dining hall was unexpected. The professors I interacted with were competent and engaging.

Good luck with your applications. I hope you will be successful in avoiding community college.

i pretty much agree with sparklesheen’s evaluation. radford is probably your best bet, it’s a really good school, even though it has a bad rep…don’t let that completely turn you away from the college. schedule a visit for their upcoming fall open house !

Longwood’s another school in VA that might be a match for you.

i really want to go to vcu.
