My dream school is UCLA. I plan to major in nursing as an undergraduate and applied to their School of Nursing. UCLA is the only college I applied to. If I don't get in, I'm going to community college then transferring to UCLA.

My stats:
3.85 GPA, weighted
All my low grades were in sophomore year, when I got pneumonia, which I explained. Don't know if they will accept that excuse, though.
2010 on SAT: Reading 660, Math 650, Writing 700
SAT Subject Tests: Math Level II 740, US History 640
AP Scores: 3 on AP European History, 5 on AP US History.

My personal statement wasn't that great; I got a B on it as an assignment in my English class (we literally had an assignment to write a College Essay.) But my personal statement for the nursing supplemental app was really good.

Overall, I have taken 50 semesters of college preparatory classes.
I am in the top 20% in my class, but my school is a really challenging public school in California. Our API is 884.

Senior year I am taking challenging courses: 3 AP/honors first semester and 2 of them second semester because I dropped Honors Physics, which I replaced with an elective. I'm worried because that means I will only have 1.5 years of lab science, but I hope they won't notice/look past it? My freshman and sophomore year science classes had labs almost every week, but for some reason they are not considered lab sciences by the UC system.

AP/honors I have taken: I have taken 11 semesters of AP/honors courses, but some of them are not UC-approved.

I'm pretty sure that my letters of recommendations were good.

I did an internship for Kaiser the summer before senior year, and plenty of community service.

Is the nursing school easier to get into?

Looking at this Profile of Admitted Freshmen, Fall 2009 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions , I see that I am slightly above average on some fronts and below on some others. But the thing that worries me the most is GPA, lack of taking a lot of APs, and only 1.5 years of lab science :(. They keep the stats on the nursing major very vague so that doesn't help, either.

Be honest. Am I borderline, or should I just give up all hope? Or do I actually have a pretty good chance of getting in?
