Chance me at University of Washington? Out of State from CCC - Junior level transfer

I was born in Washington, my mom has lived there for a few years so I MAY be able to apply for resident tuition but I’m not too sure I need to look more into it. Anyway, here are my stats.

Applying: Anthropology Major
Major GPA 4.0 in five pre-req classes.
cGPA: 3.67 at the time of applying, should be a 3.7 at the time of transfer.
ECs are pretty much just full of working part time and volunteering here and there. I’m currently an ER medical scribe which takes up about 20-30 hours a week and volunteer at Red Cross as a journalist.

What do you guys think? I love Seattle and I so desperately want to move back.

Hey, your stats look great. But the OOS will give you a disadvantage. Twice as many instate cc students are admitted (about 60 percent) compared to all other students transferring (about 30 percent). However I would suggest applying looks like you have a high pre Req gpa!

holy moly thank you so much @ogofedcc

i forgot to mention one thing! i took a year of courses at seattle central college, my gpa there was 3.87 if that give me a slight advantage over other OOS transfers?? @ogofedcc

That question is beyond my scope ???. I believe the verdict is if you currently at a instate cc. This is because UW would be the most logical place to transfer next. But I could be wrong. I would talk to an advisor or call up the office of admissions!

Hey! @Ryanjingle I’m in a similar situation. I was born and raised in Washington and I absolutely love it there, UW has always been my dream school, but we moved to Florida a couple of years ago. It sucks, I looked into it and I can’t qualify for in state tuition, so I made sure to let them know in my supplemental essay that I was born and raised there! Best of luck to you, maybe I’ll see ya on campus!
