Also, any suggestions for other programs I can apply to, things I can do over the summer, or just suggestions in general are greatly appreciated!

jaw drop you darn well stand a chance.

btw, is "Biotechnology Apprenticeship" research?

there is never a way to have a certain chance for northwestern and case western; those are way too competitive. But for the others you listed you'll most likely get in.

wow yeah you stand an awesome chance anywhere, but as illinois187 said, a lot of the programs get tons of good apps and a lot of the decision is really whether something just clicks with the admissions officers while they are reading your app.

I would also suggest Brown PLME, Rice/Baylor, BU SMED, and USC Bacc/MD.

A little bit of more research experience may help your app...and you should probably emphasize the India thing. I think, for me, my medically related experiences in India and the UK really helped me out in the admissions process.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments!

The Biotechnology Apprenticeship was actually not a research experience, it was more of a classroom type setup organized by my county in which a few kids went to a local university classroom and did various experiments on biotechnology, ie indentifying HIV in blood, messing around with genes, etc.

I am actually doing a research type thing in my next volunteer activity, so i suppose that will help, but I doubt that the specific research experience I will be doing will be anything special.

How much documentation would be appropriate for impact india? Right now all i have are a few inventory sheets and some pictures.

Thanks again for all the input!

Definitely look into the programs that johnstoops mentioned, as well as other top universities.

BA/MD programs are pretty much a crap shoot after you've met certain criteria for scores, etc. So, you just have to apply and see.

Overall you are set. However, try to break 200 service hours. No reason...you are close to getting that anyways.

yea, im being conservative in my estimates of volunteer hours, there is a good chance that i may get more than 200 hrs by the end of the summer

I agree with xcrunner. Don't limit yourself to just BS/MD programs, apply to some solid universities, too.

i intend to, but with most of these programs you automatically apply to the undergrad when you apply to the BS/MD
