-Duke (Trinity)
-Emory
-Rice

Thanks a lot for your feedback guys

You have decent GPA and your ACT/SAT’s are in range so I would definitely apply. Your volunteer work is excellent but IMO your EC’s are not up to the level that is going to make you a powerful candidate for elite schools. If your essays and recs really tell your story, then you will have a better shot. You may consider adding a safety or two to your list as well.

Duke University - Reach
Cornell University - Low Reach/Reach
Rice University - Low Reach
Johns Hopkins University - Low Reach
Emory University - Low Reach

^
I agree with hinsdale1.
How did you get your SAT score to jump so high? Share your secret!! lolz

Duke University - DO not know enough about this school
Cornell University - Low Reach/Reach
Rice University - Low Reach
Johns Hopkins University - Low Reach
Emory University - Do not know enough about this school

Chance me back?

Your stats are great…

Cornell- Low Reach
Johns Hopkins- Match/Low Reach
Duke- High Reach
Emory- Low Reach
Rice- Low Reach (Dont know much about Rice and Emory)
If you worked really hard on your college app and essays, getting into all three of these schools is definietely possible. Good Luck!!

Chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1093168-please-chance-me-upenn-jhu-umich.html</a></p>

Thanks guys, I’ll chance all of you back right now
@BlackRose101, What do you mean I got my SAT score to jump so high?

I think the person didn’t realize that the first SAT score you put down was out of 1600, not 2400 :)

Looks good. I don’t know whether it would be worth it financially to go to Cornell or Duke for Undergrad.
That being said, I think that Cornell and Duke are Reaches, with the rest as matches… I would really consider JHU.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1094543-chance-me-some-tech-schools-mediocre-gpa.html</a> <== :)

-Cornell (CAS)- Low Reach (It maybe the easiet Ivy to get into, but it’s still an Ivy!)
-JHU-Reach
-Duke (Trinity)-Low Reach (I think you have a really good shot though, your GPA is in range.)
-Emory- Match! (It’s a really good school in the south with an awesome medicine Program! But it isn’t quite as cut throught as JHU and Duke, I’m feeling a most likely here.)
-Rice- Match (Maybe a High Match…)

you have the Highest Chances at Emory and Rice, BUT you Definitely need to add some safeties! Maybe the University of Maryland-BC or Drexel!

I meant how did your SAT jump from a 1390 to a 2070?

But ViolinPiano1 said that the 1390 was out of 1600?

Great Volunteer work, very rigorous schedule. Even though colleges like to see an upward trend your 3.3 might hurt you a little in regards to Cornell. I don’t know much about the other two schools unfortunately. ECs might hurt you a little as well but you have so much volunteer work that it might make up for other things. Good standardized test scores, the 33 I believe might look better than the 2070 although I’m not sure what the direct correlation between the two is.

All in all I think your very rigorous schedule, good test scores and great amount of volunteer work will make you a good candidate at any of these schools.

Thanks.
Yea BlackRose, I got a 1390 out of 1600 and 2070 out of 2400 lmao

Cornell (CAS) - Low reach
JHU - Low reach/High match
Duke (Trinity) - Reach
Emory - Match
Rice - Match
