chance me fall 2012 cs major

Looking to applynto ucla/ucsd/uci/ucsb

Current summer gpa 3.17
After fall i should be at a 3.4 finishing up my igetc
Major cgs or cs

Im assuming la should be out of the question while uci and sd should be pretty good and ucsb can be tagged into

am i doomed and stuck for a CSU? =/ just did my gpa found out if i wasnt screwing around in my cs classes i could easily have a 3.8 since i always had enough points to get an A, but didnt study for a final

UCI you should, how many assist courses have you done?, and yeah UCSD possible, but you need a 3.5

well im missing my math series, but they will be done this year. The physics is where it gets tricky. UCSB and UCla want the phys 180-285 series while uci wants 130

Do you go to OCC?

Overall, you can substitute the 185/280/285 sequence for 130/135 even if assist.org doesn’t specifically say it because it is a higher level physics than 130. However, (though you are allowed to take 280 & 285 simultaneously), you will absolutely hate life trying to get all 3 of that sequence done in 2 semesters.

so jnguyen are you tag’ing to UCI?

most likely not. Looking to see if it possible for ucsd and ucsb since it update gpa in the fall.

oh and really for the 130/135? being a sub. for 185/280/285

santa barbara for engineering?

yeah compsci heard it was on par with uci.

130/135 is not a substitute for 185/280/285. I was saying it the other way around… that you can take the HIGHER sequence (185/280/285) in place of the 130/135 sequence though you would have to verify this with UCI. They told me it was fine obviously since it’s a harder sequence but if you choose to do this, definitely make sure.
