[*] Chance me for BARNARD ED (and others)! [*]

I am a white, female, rising senior from a considerably competitive high school in northern NJ. My teachers love me, so I’m assuming they’ll write pretty good teacher (and guidance counselor) recommendations. I’m a good writer, and will put in a lot of thought and feeling into my essays and supplements. I also already have an idea of what I’m going to write about in my common application essay.
After visiting it and nearly falling in love, I am almost certain I will be applying to Barnard College Early Decision in the fall. Because I'm very mature for my age and am naturally self-inquisitive, I just knew early on that Barnard was the right fit for me, and (I think) me for Barnard.
If I do not get into Barnard Early Decision, I will be applying to Bryn Mawr, NYU, Wesleyan, Brown, UPenn, Rutgers (New Brunswick), Smith, Mount Holyoke, and Skidmore Regular Decision. If you could please chance me for any/all of those as well, that would be appreciated too. Thanks!

Oh, and I chance back! Just post the link to your thread at the end of your post please. Thanks!

I don’t really know much about Barnard but I think you’re a match if it’s ED. I think it might be better to maybe raise the Critical Reading Score? If you break 700 I think you’d get in for sure!

Oh and chance me please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1172686-chance-me-tufts-colgate-columbia-d.html

For Liberal Arts colleges like Barnard and the Sister Colleges, I think they’re more about fit and Academic rigor (GPA, Course selections) than Standardized Test Scores. When I went to the Sister Colleges open house in New York, whenever SAT’s came up they emphasized being a well-rounded individual, and that they understood that some people are not strong test-takers, and that that’s okay.
Just thought I’d put that out there.
Also, Barnard is known for producing great writers, and writing is one of my strengths.

Try top raise your CR score. It’s lower than Barnard’s middle 50%. It’ll help with all the schools. Everything else seems good. Also, on your applications, only list your most important extra curriculars, volunteer work, clubs and teams… the ones you have leadership positions in and have been most dedicated to. Put the ones that show your passions and interests, and if possible, connect them to your intended major(s). Don’t just put random ones that don’t show focus. That could hurt your application but showing focus will help it. Thanks for the chance.
