<p>My econ teacher is an alum there and LOVED it there so I did some research and saw one of their college rep and i too fell in love with it...so anyways chance me!</p>

<p>Background:

-Ohio resident</p>

<p>The school I attend is a well known boarding school that has a very rigorous schedule for students (we even have classes on saturday and are required to play sports each season)</p>

<p>Academics:
Okay my school's grading system is kinda weird
Cumulative up to junior year = 6.4080 out of 7
- School does not rank (probs top 10%)
- All Honors classes and 1 AP junior year (got 4)
-Senior year courses:
-AP Spanish IV Language
-AP Economics (both micro and macro)
-AP Calc AB
-AP Biology
-English IV
-Senior Seminar (Research Paper)</p>

- Research Intern @ Cleveland Clinic where I worked for 8 weeks with an immunologist who has been doing research on a breast cancer vaccine that has already progressed to human trials.</p>

<p>You sound similar to me- strong ACT, nice EC 's etc. Bowdoin floated at or near the top of my list until my second visit. It’s still on my list but not in the top spot. At my school it’s very hard to take more than two AP classes before senior year and I think this hurts both of us. Still you look very strong and have a good shot but… Bowdoin isn’t a sure thing for anyone other than a recruited athlete.</p>

<p>I’m just curious but what was it about your second visit there that made you move Bowdoin down on your college list?</p>
