Clubs:
- Vice President of a nonprofit I’ve worked with for 6 years, chaired multiple committees within said nonprofit to raise money, awareness and get volunteers for various events, former graphic designer
- VP, President and Mentor at my local Toastmasters (been participating in it for 11 years) and judge at a separate public speaking event (there's photos and a letter affirming it), as a President/Mentor I instituted changes in the Toastmasters organization and rebuilt the registration process, as well as MCed multiple awards ceremonies
- I run my own political blog, where I've interviewed my local mayor and talk politics in general
- I'm a Board member of a political activism nonprofit that has written its own amicus curiae brief, attended the March for our Lives movement and promoted voter registration at my school (this is along with the next point)
- Worked on the political campaign for the mayor of an adjacent city who's also a personal friend, was the activist of the campaign, got people to sign up to vote back in 8th grade, 10th grade and now, not only in the city but also in my school this year
- MUN for 6 years, chaired a committee at my school conference, won a few awards, almost 15 conferences to my name
- Debate, website designer, organized the Big Question debate for three years that consistently got an attendance of 75 people per year, also won a couple of awards last year for speaking
- STEM Club/Toastmasters Jr. for 2 years: clubs I founded with two of my local libraries, both are classes designed to get students participating and engaged, STEM is mainly for vocational interests whereas Toastmasters Jr. is for public speaking
- Web Design Seminar for 2 years, a club I started at school that I'm the founder of that teaches kids at school web design and how to implement that in real websites through Github, we have a website
- Autism Tennis Volunteering and Regular Class Tennis Volunteering for 2 years, a major point here is that I helped kids individually succeed, and that's the main focus of my personal statement
- Tennis for 2 years, didn't make it in freshman year, got to 2nd JV sophomore year and then became alternate Varsity Junior year at the best school in the state
There are definitely some more things for a couple of the categories that I can’t quite remember as of this moment. I’ll have to pull up my NHS application again. My application is mainly themed around politics and community service, which comes through in my essays as well.

- NMS Commended Student (PSAT 1480 in NJ)

- National AP Scholar
- Outstanding Speaker twice as a Toastmaster, Spirit of Success 3 times, Best Evaluator twice
Essays:
My GC loves my personal statement, as it shows a lot of humanity, compassion, and dedication to community service. I’m working on Brown ED essays right now, and I think I have a pretty unique essay that hits on some unknown elements in the Brown curriculum, and it really shows I did my research into the school (since I did). As for UMich, I think they’re pretty good as well, but they can always be improved (and will be, once I finalize my Brown and personal statement essays).
Recommendations:
- Math teacher, had him for two years and we love to talk about everything, I showed improvement in his class from sophomore to Junior year, and he loves me. (9/10)
- Microeconomics teacher, had him for one year and we still love to talk about economics stuff whenever I get the chance, and I think he likes me a lot (8/10).
- Guidance counselor, she knows me and likes me, but she has to write 60 applications, so I don't think she'll go too in-depth beyond what I indicated to her. (9/10)
- My mentor, who's helped me develop a few of my ECs, and who's known me for 9 years. Her recommendation is blisteringly good, and it's a huge testament to what I've done for the past few years (10/10).
If the school can get past my academics, then I think I have a decent chance. What do you think?
