I really can’t comment on this as I have nothing to compare it with. I liked them but am unsure if others would.

Interview:
It went awesome. The guy was really impressed with me. I understand that it really is not that important, but I feel it should be included.

Thanks and if you would like me to chance you back I’d be happy to.

You have a really good chance in my opinion. Test scores wise you seem competitive but I think you lack in ECs a little bit. I would def not be surprised if you got in, but if you don’t its probably just because of insane competition and ridiculously low acceptance rates. I would say a high match or low reach. Good Luck!

How can you have an unweighed GPA over 4.0?

That was what my guidance counselor told me it was.

If you have all A’s throughout high school, your unweighted is 4.0.

OK then it’s probably in the 3.8-3.9 range

Bump

Really good chance. Congrats on your ECs. Good luck! Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1854384-chance-me-for-these-colleges-p1.html

You have a good chance of getting into Brown, but like Ballerina said it’s a reach for everyone. Keep in mind that it is Brown after all and no one is guaranteed in. Best of luck though.

Some schools will have an unweighted A+ as a 4.33 so therefore it is possible to have an unweighted GPA that is over a 4.0.

For an unweighted GPA to exceed 4.0, the scale itself has to exceed 4.0. If the highest theoretical grade you can receive in a class is 4.33 (the A+ referenced in the above post), then the unweighted GPA would be 4.1/4.33, not 4.1/4.0. There are also schools that use a 5.0 scale. That’s all clarified in the school profile.
