Hoooooo ! I got 63.5 /100 in Maths , in my half terms :(

Uhhm… dont worry, it happens… Just try and get back up with a bang. Try and get a 100 on your maths finals. Chill!

Friends, what is your view on:
A specialized VS An all-rounded student?

This question is just such that I need many views… Give your take on it for universities like CalTech, MIT and I guess you all know my list. :P

This question was posted on another thread by someone but no one answered it. :$

Please reply!!!

Hey CalTechJPL! Do you know how much money did Pratham Alag got at UC Berkeley?

Cal tech really cares mostly about academic or academically related achievements

Okay, but does it take other achievements as negative?

No… They just don’t care. Trust me I talked to some alumni at the college fair. One of them literally said: " yeah… If you can get a 780 on all the sat sections, we’ll probably take you." It’s seems rather blunt, but this does reflect the general attitude cal tech has on admitting.

Well they probably care, but not as much

So umm, they want academically specialized students. So my SAT and APs might help!

Means that If I get a 36 on ACT and 800 in 3 subject tests , will they accept me?

Maybe…
But what else do you have to show your passion for science?

I had built a robotic arm.

Any time I talk about SAT/GPA with friends: “Wow I’m so accomplished.”

Any time I visit CC: “Wow, I’m an idiot.”

This is a great thing congrats. :)
