I think you have a good shot! I got into UChicago with stats less impressive than yours, but I think RD is a different beast than EA. Good luck!!!

Thanks! I’ve been feeling kinda down since MIT rejected me two days ago :confused: I thought I had a good shot there… idk.

@wizmeister777 you clearly have the stats, the issue is going to be the sheer number of spots as was most likely the case with MIT. This RD round is probably going to be the smallest in history. Best of luck !!

@kevbevrev111 I got waitlisted :confused: Not really what I was hoping for, but does anyone really hope for that? I definitely thought my stats were good enough though…

Chicago focus more on your essay than any other schools. So if you did not have a convincing essay, you might be shot down, they reject many high stat students.

Once you are wait listed, the chance is very low to get in. If Chicago is your first choice now, keep it up and you might still have a chance.
