I’m from NOVA but I am female so I am hoping that makes up for my location.

SAT score of 700 math and 630 reading
Unweighted GPA of 3.8
AP Classes include
AP World (10)
AP Chemistry(11)
AP Psychology(11)
AP Lang(11)
AP Human Geo (12)
AP Literature(12)
Calc AB (12)
AP Physics C (12)

I feel like Calc AB is going to hurt me since several in my district take BC, especially for engineering.

Decent ECs like an arts internship, working at a museum, Spanish Honor Society historian and vice president of a service club, but no sports

Should I apply early decision or try to improve my SAT score one last time?

If your HS offers calc BC and you are taking AB, then yeah this could be a strike against you. EC’s are usually a lower tier factor for VT, relative to grades and SAT. your stats are pretty much in the meaty part of the curve for engineering, no real need to retake the SAT. Anyway, I think you still have a good chance given your gender and assuming your math/science grades are all high.
