Essays: Common App essay is probably about a 7/10. I think it’s pretty good but I know people on this sub like to exaggerate how good theirs are.

LORs: I can’t read them but I’m confident they’re good.

I already submitted my application because I had the Common App done and there are no supplementals.

There is nothing that should get in the way of your being accepted. Being from the MidWest could help (especially if your BS is in the MidWest). It is also one of the few LACs that gets more applications from boys than girls, so that could work in your favor.

Colby had an acceptance rate of under 10% last year, so nobody is really a sure thing. But I think you have a reasonable shot. If you would be interested in starting out in Salamanca, you could let them know. (Honestly, not sure how that impacts admissions or the experience freshman year, but worth knowing if it seems interesting. )

Thanks for replying, @gardenstategal! My boarding school is in the midwest, if that matters, and I indicated on my app that I’d be cool with doing the Global Entry Semester.

I think you are as well set up as you could be to be a Mule!

Easy enough to add that if you went ED …It would be the surest bet possible. However, you did not and that is fine. As for RA…I agree with @gardenstategal as I have before( a very helpful and informed poster)…You have an excellent chance at RA to Colby as per your stats…If you place Colby V high on your RA list>>>let them know with a visit and while there request a personal tour or visit with a prof in your interested major…They may advocate for you if they sense sincerity and a genuine keen interest…
