Hi everyone,

I'm a Vietnamese freshman at a LAC in Indiana (Top 60 usnews). I'm trying to transfer to Colgate this Fall and I will be truly thankful if you guys could give me some advice.

My stats:

TOEFL: 107 (I just took it this Feb)
ACT: 33 E:34, M:36 (I retook it again last Sat and I'm waiting for the result)
GPA: 8.9/10 from a very competitive high school in Vietnam.
College GPA: 3.92 1st semester
Class president for 3 years in high school.

Currently taking a rigorous curriculum this semester, including two 300-level courses (equivalent to Colgate's courses). Aiming for 4 As and 1 A- this mid term.
I think I could get really good Recs from my profs.
Lots of ECs in high school but not so much involved in college.

I need financial aid. My family can contribute around 15k/year only.

The reasons I want to transfer are:
- first I love Colgate so badly
- I want to be at a college with bigger Math and Econs departments than what I have now. As I read on the website, the percentage of Math majors at Colgate is one of the highest in the nation, so I really think that I would benefit from that.
- I need somewhere with more off campus studies opportunities.

I really hope that you could chance me. Thanks so much in advance.
