Thank you guys

Hey there fellow Texan. YOu definitely have a impressive resume, but you’ll be competing with a quite a few with your credentials, and it is up to your essays/recs that seal the deal for you. That being said, even if you don’t get in Columbia, I’m pretty certain you’ll still get good offers to a lot of other great colleges. Good luck!

Thank you man. I see that you are going to Columbia, would you mind telling me how well you did in high school?

if you don’t mind sharing, what is your ethnicity and gender? - out of curiosity

Rarely do I say this, but I must admit I expect you to get in. Very very impressive. Like collegeftw said, essays/recs will be the final piece, but you are in a great spot as is. You will easily make it to committee (that is, past the first round of application reviews).

Glad to see you’re ready to commit to Columbia. I’m actually curious here - and this’ll be good practice for you: Why Columbia?

Thank you joso! You just practically made my day. I am asian and male.

I have never had the chance to visit Columbia, but from what I heard the campus is beautiful and having lived in the suburbs my entire life, I want to experience city life. I’m going to apply to the engineering school, and I know Columbia is one of the best research schools in the U.S. But I really like the broad core curriculum that Columbia has because I don’t want to be solely focused on my major in college.

I have a question though, I want to become a corporate technical officer in the future, so basically managing other engineers. Can I take business classes at Columbia as an undergrad or grad while still focusing on engineering?

you have an amazing resume. i love you hoss
