Hi! I'm a rising senior. Can you chance me for Columbia, Oberlin, Northwestern, and Emory? (I know these schools all seem very different, I'm still sorting out which ones I would feel best at.)

I'm a white male from rural Georgia. My family makes around 50k or less. I plan on applying through Questbridge. I go to a ho-hum public school -- we sent one kid to MIT about ten years ago, and another to Princeton about six years ago, but that's it. Honestly. Those were big deals.

I'm first generation and gay, if that helps.

So far, I've taken AP Human Geography (4) and AP US History (4), and I'm currently taking AP Language and AP US Gov't. Next year I will be taking AP Lit, AP Econ, AP Statistics, and AP EnviroSci (I know it would be better for me to do AP Bio, but at our school Bio is a yearlong and I don't have time in my schedule).

SAT -- 2160 (Critical Reading -- 760, Writing -- 750, Math -- 650). I plan on retaking it this fall, especially to raise my math score.

SAT II -- U.S. History (740) and Literature (750)

ECs -- I am editor of the yearbook. I am also vice president of the Gavel Club (a public speaking organization affiliated with Toastmasters International), and next year I will be president. I am a member of the Youth Advocacy Board which is comprised of the best youth in our county who serve as a voice for youth in the community. I am currently spearheading a campaign to institute comprehensive sex education in our abstinence-only school system. I am a member of National Honor Society. I volunteer often in the community and this summer I am volunteering as an aid at our local hospital (100+ hours, in total). I also started the National English Honor Society at our school and

Awards -- I attended the Georgia Governor's Honors Program the summer after sophomore year in Communicative Arts. This is a selective residential summer program that admits 690 of Georgia's best high school students out of about 3,000. I also attended the Georgia Journalism Academy via a full scholarship from CNN the summer after my freshman year. I blog frequently for The Huffington Post and have been published in a couple of literary magazines for poetry or personal essays (Eunoia Review, Rookie, etc.) I recently received an Honorable Mention from the Scholastic Arts and Sciences Competition.

My intended major is either English or Political Science. I also want to focus on Creative Writing if I major in English.

Thanks! :)
