I go to a public school in Dallas with a good rep. I’m white, upper middle-class, super privileged, etc. I spend 25+ hours a week for a sport I plan on doing in college and I think will probably help me get accepted. I should have over 100 hours of community service by the time I’m done with my junior year. I nearly got national merit semi as a sophomore. I have/plan on taking 20 AP classes throughout high school. But my dilemma is that I only get high B’s and low A’s in these AP classes, Is this okay? Do I have good chances for Columbia?
Can you say what your courseload has been so far, and your gpa so far, and your PSAT score, etc. etc. etc.

You’re a junior and taken 4 APs to date. But for senior year you planning to take another 16? How is it possible to take 16 APs in a single year?? Am I misreading this?
No I’m currently a sophomore
You want to get chanced as a sophomore? You don’t even have any standardized test scores or AP grades. How do you know what your GPA will be?
4 on AP Human Geography
1450 on SAT as Sophomore
I understand, I was mainly asking to ask if getting B’s in AP Classes was okay as long as you have a challenging course load
Go have fun. Not worrying about college is the best thing for you until summer of junior year. Take the SAT junior year, get good grades, hang out with friends, and come back in 11th grade summer.
It is too early and there is not enough info to predict your chances, but know that Columbia is extremely competitive and will have their pick of straight A Valedictorians, so having a lot of B’s on your transcript, even in difficult classes will make admission difficult. Being a recruited athlete however, may compensate for that. Top 35% is not normally competitive for an Ivy, but again if a coach recruits you, it may not matter quite as much
