Cornell I would say you have a good shot at. Columbia and UPenn however are somewhat reachy. Don’t get me wrong, you are a strong applicant, but you aren’t super-epic-ultra amazing, which apparently is what those schools desire. Also, what is your expected major?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/862600-applying-columba-ed.html

With your curent sat score, mid reach to Cornell and reach to the other two. If you raise it then high match/low reach to Cornell and mid reach to the other two.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/857370-accepted-bc-what-about-rest.html

If you get scores up to 2200:
Columbia: Match
Cornell: Match
Penn: High Match

easy match for all of them if you get your SAT up. chance me plz http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/865369-me-cornell-brown-tufts-cmu-jhu-chances.html

math or econ :)

This is all dependent on if you get your sat up
Columbia- Mid to High Reach
UPENN-Mid Reach
Cornell-In

Columbia and Penn have similar admissions statistics…why would his chances be different?

Cornell is obviously easier to get into

You should get into Cornell, especially if you’re up to a 2200. Columbia and UPenn are definitely a bit tougher and could depend on factors beyond your control, so you should have a shot.

Chance me: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1029217-one-more-time-i-promise-ill-chance-you-back.html

Lack of EC’s might be a bit detrimental as well as no awards

Columbia and UPenn are slight reaches, cornell is a match

If you get your SATs up to what you say then Columbia and Penn are reaches and Cornell is a low reach. The CR section of the SAT is arguably weighted the most heavily and a sub-700 is seriously detrimental to your application. The languages are fairly interesting, however you need to choose ECs and stick with them, you’re all over the place. I assume your rank is top 10%, otherwise you wouldn’t have bothered to make this thread, so I won’t comment on GPA.
Help out the chance game! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1029632-chance-person-before-you-thread-game.html

You are a very strong applicant, the only weakness would be a pattern in your ECs. I think a lot of these competitive schools like to see passion about a particular subject, like journalism or engineering. I would say if you did something especially standout this summer that would boost your chances quite a bit for all these schools. Please chance me back! (:
