You need to recalculate your uwGPA in 4.0 scale. Anyway, with ACT 30 UMich is likely a low reach to reach depending on your intended major and GPA.

If 96.1 is a 3.8 then you should be OK - but it’s reachy for out of state kids with a 3.8 and a 30. It will be a big financial reach also - keep that in mind. Michigan does not meet need for out of state kids.

It is hard to estimate GPA from percent score. OP mentioned all classes from sophomore on above 95%. If that is unweighted, that may give him 4.0 GPA (or close to it if freshmen grade is not far off). Even with that, ACT at 25th percentile would make UMich as low reach to reach (depending on LSA or CoE).

hi, thanks for replying!
im applying to LSA undecided. Just to give you some stats from my high school, the average ACT from my school that was accepted is 29 and the average SAT is about 2030. The average weighted gpa accepted from my school is a 98 (approximately 93 unweighted)
@billcsho‌

Remember the Naviance data are from previous years. The admission rate at UMich has dropped significantly and the ACT scores for admission went up a couple points within the last decade. So don’t rely on it.

I totally agree! My school linked to naviance less than 5 years ago but obviously the scores are somewhat skewed. However, my school tends to have a lot of acceptances with competitive colleges every year. @billcsho‌

@billcsho im currently attending so boo you for your doubtful post

@isl4ndsurf3r Congrats! When were you admitted? The admission this year is so crazy and unpredictable.
