Chance me for ED dartmouth, MIT, colgate, need-blind ivies

Please evaluate my chances (I mean your opinions) for Dartmouth ED, MIT, princeton, harvard, yale, (middlebury, amherst, williams - not sure right now of these 3) and Colgate.

International Student from India.
Need financial aid.

Sat 1 - (took it last year, totally unprepared) - 1960, giving it this Oct. Take my score as 2250 minimum though I'll aim for 2350 at least.

Sat 2 - took Maths1 last year (730). This year - Maths2 (800) and Physics (770). Won't retake maths1 because most colleges in my list don't require more than 2 subject tests.

Teacher Recs - one from computer science teacher, one from English teacher (really good 1 page rec). Guidance counselor rec is just ok-ok - small and curt since it's a large school and she doesn't know everyone personally.

School academics -
top 10%, School doesn't rank and no GPA.

About ME :

Junior Talent Science Exam - state finalist top 40
National Talent Science Exam - national finalist top 750
National Cyber Olympiad - National Merit top 2100

Student council Class Representative (grade 12)
School Math olympiad team, Chess team.
Member of pi club (maths), expressions (English), Astronomy club honorary member, computer science club.

There are other things too that I might have forgotten to put down, will add them later.

What are my prospects for Dartmouth ED, MIT, yale, princeton, harvard, colgate (and maybe amherst, middlebury and williams - reason for adding them is need blind policy :| ) ...? (I want to major in computer science or computer science engineering, with physics and math as minors since I have plans to research in physics later in life)

On a separate note, I play soccer and chess, and have won a few local tournaments, but nothing to prove it on paper... Is it possible to join the college team by trying out or something, if I get into the college?

I think all schools have some sort of walk on tryout.

Also (I'm unable to edit my post):
Active Teacher's Aide (under community Service)

dark_blue : yup, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Me too! I wanna join the baseball and/or swimming team.

OK, Anyone chance me, please?

......anyone?

ummm, I don't think these count as an EC...they are just something you do. For example, if I contribute to Wikipedia, I'm not going to put that on my application. Not everything one does is an extra-curricular.

The competition among internationals is intense for HPYM.

Overall, I'd say your chances are slim. You have too many EC's that are too unrelated. You should tailor your focus to a couple of activites and devote your time to them. If you want to major in computer science, put more emphasis on the fact that you have learned C++ and express your passion in music, and maybe a coule other things, but you need to substantially edit your list.

You chances will substantially increase if you score 2350+

Unrelated ECs ? Lol. I'm doing what I love and I don't care if it's unrelated.

BTW maybe you don't know of Goiit dot com so that's why.... it's a top Indian science forum site run by IITians. And the question level is not easy so ;) thought I'd mention this anyway.

Thanks anyway :) ... Anyone Else?

I was pretty sure i could get 2300 before the june sat. but the result turned out to be somewhat disappointing..so....if u DO get 2350, you have good chance.
btw, ur schools are all reach, for anybody.

SAT should be a piece of cake for you with the Indian syllabus and stuff, I took it just before I started the 11th and I got above 2350 so I'm sure you can achieve it as well :)

Yea, but Am I in the running. or I don't even have a crap shot?

@ tetrisfan : yea i know :)

You're definitely in the running. Make sure that the essays are kick-ass, though.

Yeah :) , currently they're kicking my ass ;) lol ... thanks

Anyone else? please? :)

Haha don't worry I'm sure it'll all work out :)

And I forgot to mention I'm a vocalist with the Little Singers of Delhi (Delhi Music Theatre) through audition and sung at Christmas concerts and others for 3 years.

Participated in National Mathematical Olympiads 2004, 2005, 2006.

Participated in Columban Open Quiz 2004 and 2005.

more opinions please? :|

Dartmouth ED - reject
MIT - reject
princeton - reject
harvard - reject
yale - reject

I'm a bit harsh on you, I know... but as an international student you're immediately disadvantaged. You really need something that makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd.
