i’d think wharton is a fit in this case, and a most likely

Bump. Any more feedback? I’m so anxious and it’s only been like a week…haha

ED Penn - Wharton: low reach, but I think you’ll get in
UChicago: low reach
Harvard: reach
Dartmouth: low reach
Georgetown: high match
Berkeley: high match
UCLA: match
UNC Chapel Hill: match/high match
UW Seattle: safety
UMinn - Twin Cities: safety

Wharton will be difficult, but the ED helps. Harvard is very high reach, as don’t see anything “standout” in your app. Decent chance at Dartmouth, Georgetown, and Berkeley. I suspect you’ll get into UCLA and UNC Chapel Hill, or at least one of the two. In at UW Seattle and UMinn.

Bump this up again. I’d gladly chance back if anyone would like to chance me :)

Most of these schools are reaches for literally EVERYONE, but you have straight up matches at UCLA, Berkeley, UMinn, UNC, and Georgetown most likely.

Bumpppp. I’ve already applied to Minnesota, Washington, Berkeley, UCLA, Penn (ED) but I’d like some feedback on my schools if anyone would like to :)

Hello!

I’m not sure how colleges consider difficulty of school for admissions, but I don’t think you will have problems with grades and scores. 2260 isn’t bad, regardless what someone here might say. 770 SAT I (math) and 750 SAT II (math) looks a little peculiar to me, just because I’ve always considered a higher score on the SAT II Math 2 easier for someone good at math (one multiple choice wrong on SAT I –> 770 :P)

I would consider the most selective schools on your list reaches, because many of your extracurricular activities are pretty common; not really generic, but a good rule of thumb is to think about how you stand out in the admissions officers’ eyes. If you can immediately imagine yourself being pictured similarly to everyone else with one internship, a few volunteer activities, and school clubs, that’s not good. (But I haven’t read your essays so the reach range can vary widely) This isn’t necessarily your fault as much as just the incredible strength of the applicant pool.

ED Penn - Wharton: reach
UChicago: reach
Harvard: reach
Dartmouth: reach
Georgetown: low reach
Berkeley: high match
UCLA: high match if in-state, low reach otherwise
UNC Chapel Hill: high match if in-state, low reach otherwise
UW Seattle: safety
UMinn - Twin Cities: low match

Of course, good luck! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1578562-chance-ea-rd-will-chance-back.html

might look at some east coast safety alternatives to Dartmouth like Holy Cross-top25 LAC -near BOSTON.

Toad - thanks for the feedback! Yeah I’m a little puzzled why I got only 1 wrong on SAT I and then I got like…a few wrong on SAT II Math but I was a little sick that day so there’s all sorts of little variables in there. As for my ECs, I guess on the surface they look exactly how you described them, but I tried my best to fashion a story out of them and about the things that make me click. As for my essays, I’ve spent a better part of 6 months on my Common App and Penn supplement (crossing my fingers for Wharton always). But now it’s in the hands of the adcoms :)

par72 - I’m not really trying to go to an LAC, but Dartmouth offers a fantastic economics department with great job placement and local community. Dartmouth is very very tentative on my list as I may try to apply to a match sort of school, but I appreciate the suggestion :)

I agree with most of what people have been saying. However, I would put uChicago as a match for you.

ED Penn- low reach
UChicago- reach
Harvard- reach
Dartmouth- low reach/reach
UCB- high match
UCLA- match
G’town- high match
