<p>Hi I was wondering if i have a chance to get in to columbia ED. Here are my stats:</p>

APs: 5 Eng. Lang, 5 Calc AB, 5 US His.</p>

Worked in bio institute where conducted research in biotech./restriction enzymes/DNA</p>

<p>Founder and President of self-made organization, in effort to help people in third world countries.
- went to India in summer and help build school for underpriv. kids/donate clothing and toys/ raise about 3500 through private donations to fund education of children of poorest backgrounds. this was a trip i took for myself and others. it might seem that this was done to "look good" for college apps. but in reality it was a decision made in respect for others. </p>

<p>I have taken the hardest possible courseload in my school.</p>

<p>essays should be really good.</p>

<p>You have a decent shot. But honestly, you are an Asian with pretty ordinary EC's and pretty good scores. Nothing really stands out about you.</p>

<p>i think you have a good shot, the self-made organization is great, it doesn't matter whether you're doing it for college apps or not, you did it, you raised money, you went to india, you showed initiative, enterprise and achievement, (maybe compassion), and you probably learnt a ton about organization and running something like this as well as about india and less developed countries. they will look favorably on these. i think you have a good shot and an interesting story to tell.</p>
