Hey exoheat11,

Your SAT II Math and Biology scores are fairly low especially as you’re applying to the CoE (freshmen go in undeclared). Being number one in your class may be very helpful depending on how rigorous of a program your school offers (would definitely have recommended AP Physics if available since you’ve applied to other engineering schools according to your threads). Going to assume you’ve taken calculus as well.

You’ve listed a handful of good ECs and leadership positions which will help you significantly.

I would say you have a good chance at UMich depending on how strong your essays were (Hopefully your UMich essays were as strong as you said your other ones were).

Source: Fellow asian male from northern Virginia, accepted into CoE EA.

Big however though. these assumptions are made to fit a student at a normal-sized public school in VA. Unsure of how your school works (seeing as you’re only taking four classes this semester) so circumstances may be very different.

Also, I was wondering why you’ve been bumping your threads a lot recently. I don’t think anyone here on CC or anywhere can tell you your admission results to any school with absolute certainty.

@StrangeRobot Hi, my school does have a very rigorous scheduling. We have to complete AP courses in only one semester because of our 4 x 4 scheduling model.

I took Calculus III last year and am taking Honors Physics this semester.

I actually believe that my school is tougher, as we have such little time to complete AP courses and prepare for the exams.

Congrats on your admission though! Who knows - maybe I’ll be seeing you.
