I am new to this prep-school idea. Please suggest some other prep schools I should look at. This would be for my senior year of high school. I also am looking for a prep school thats really good with financial aid.

You should be admitted to both schools.

Was that serious or a joke?

ahha no you sound like a shoe in.
and it helped me, cuz my application was prety much the same, maybe a little more in one area, and then a little less in the classes
and yours sounds really good, so thank you!

ahah but yeah, i totally wouldnt worry
and depending on your school choice[which schools?]
theres an average on how much Financial AID they give
if you tell me the school/s i could find out for you and post it on here, unless youd rather keep that to yourself.
but FA is a very flexible thing, and depending on their tuition/endowment they like to give about half to you if you qualify

ridiculous.

do you mean schools as in what school I want to apply for college? or as in other prep schools?

If it is for prep schools, I guess what is the average amount that exeter, andover, and choate give out. I am completely new to this so I do not know
what schools to look at. These are the 3 I am the most familiar with and that people have suggested to me.

ok let me you get you the info.
itll take me a minute

Ok, thank you for the help mburg hopeful!!

Exeter:
Endowment Size $1000 million [ thats a BIG plus ]
Yearly Tuition (Boarding Students) $36,500
Percent Students on Financial Aid 43%
Average Financial Aid Grant $ 27,000 [being average ofcourse,
so it could be more, could be less]

Andover:
Endowment Size $700 million [good]
Yearly Tuition (Boarding Students) $35,250
Percent Students on Financial Aid 41%
Average Financial Aid Grant $ 24,700 [ Again, average..]

Choate Rosemary Hall:
Endowment Size $235 million
Yearly Tuition (Boarding Students) $37,300
Percent Students on Financial Aid 27% [Alot Less, since MOST Boarding
School's give an average of about 40%]
Average Financial Aid Grant $ 21,070

So I hope that helps, and is kind of what you were looking for.
The first two are pretty normal of what BS's usually say, but the third, Choate, helps you less in the aid part

what is ridiculous?

Thank you very much, I really like Exeter so I think I will be applying there. Although Choate is in my state, it seems they don't offer much on financial aid.

Oh your in America now?
oh anytime, I practically know BS sites like the back of my hand now.
And I agree with your choice, by the way!

exeter and andover are need blind, exeter provides free education for families with incomes less than $75,000. andover has the same plan, but i'm not sure what the cutoff income is. i want to say it's $65,000 but i'm not positive.

and cookie, HE is ridiculous. haha. his stats and everything.. outrageously incredible.

yeah whats ridiculous?

ohhh!
ahah i know, i was like =0
at his courses.

or the EC activities, at least what they are.
incredible.

haha and how he says his 2150 is low. and all his internship stuff at harvard and yale.. what the flip is that! you're making the rest of us look really stale, smartafgkid!

Oh thank you coolgirl2010. But trust me there are people on here who are smarter than me.

I was just using the exeter financial aid calculator and I am liking what I see. I mean I might have to pay around 1-10k. Hopefully something less but I think thats a very reasonable price for such a great education.

I am just doing what I love. But yeah 2150 is low for Harvard so I have to raise it above 2200.

and mburg hopefull, yes I live in America, (Connecticut actually).

yeah def, and after the education, colleges will be putting you first on there list, most likely with a scholarship with all of your listings.

and i know, your making me feel bad about myself afgkid! aha kidding, but you should be proud, and i soo wouldnt worry about getting accepted at exter.
are you applying this year or next?
